EP 305 - Homer Defined


The plant almost suffers a catastrophic melt-down and it is up to Homer to save everyone. Homer doesn't know what to do so he randomly presses a button. Luckily for him, he was right and he became a hero. Homer felt guilty because he knew it was luck. He's worried that when people looked 'stupid' up in the dictionary they would see his name. Homer is invited to the Shelbyville Nuclear Power Plant to give a speech and this plant is also undergoing a meltdown and people look to Homer to help them. Homer almost doesn't do it but he eventually saves the plant is admired by Lisa even though it was all dumb luck.

Notes:

  • This episode had some conflicts with censors because of the words Bart and Mr. Burns using the words, 'ass' and 'butt'.
    Goofs:
  • When Mr. Burns is looking at his cameras, you can tell that his workers are all identical (besides Homer).
    Trivia
  • The countdown to destruction stops at 007 just like it does in the James Bond film, Goldfinger.
