Fat Tony is Springfield's resident Italian American Mob Boss, who's explanations for his crimes almost make sense. His constant bribes for Mayor Quimby and the idiocy of the Police force make most of Fat Tony's routine crimes run quite smoothly. We first see him recruiting Bart as a bartender.
